For several generations the García family has been fully dedicated to viticulture. Taking advantage of the experience accumulated over decades and their wine making know-how, the FAMILY WINERY Bodegas Monteabellón located in the small town of Nava de Roa was founded in 2000.
Monte Abellón is a hill belonging to the village of nava de roa, where maritime pines, parasol pines, holm oaks and gall oaks grow. Since the beginning of the 20th century part of the hill has been dedicated to agricultural cultivation and especially to the vineyard.
All the grapes used to make our Ribera wines come from our own vineyards. Currently Bodegas y Viñedos Monteabellón has 175
hectares of its own vineyards spread over different plots. The different altitudes and diversity of the soils in our vineyards are a reflection of the quality of our wines.

Our wines
As our only goal is to elaborate select wines, for this reason we carry out meticulous vine selection work, accompanied by exhaustive work in the field throughout the year. This is how we encourage low yields per hectare in order to obtain better fruit and produce wines that evoke admiration.

Rueda is the oldest wine designation of origin in CASTILLA Y LEÓN, its production area is located in the provinces of Valladolid, Segovia and Ávila.
Ribera del Duero is located in the area of ALTO DUERO and comprises 60 municipalities in the provinces of Burgos, Valladolid, Soria and Segovia.
La Rioja benefits from the confluence of two opposing climates: the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, providing ideal conditions for the development of the vine.
