Ribera

D.O. RIBERA
DEL DUERO

Ribera del Duero is located in the area of alto duero and comprises 60 municipalities located in the provinces of Burgos, Valladolid, Soria and Segovia.
For more than 2,500 years, wine and Ribera del Duero have been inseparable, as the pre-Roman peoples cultivated vine.
The climate of the area is typically continental and with slight Atlantic influences. It is characterized by cold winters and hot summers.
The vineyards lie on loose, not very fertile soils with quite high contents in limestone, which result in excellent quality fruit.

Rioja

D.O.Ca RIOJA

The Rioja alta is the westernmost region of the autonomous community of La Rioja and occupies the western half of the Denomination.

La Rioja benefits from the confluence of two opposing climates: the Atlantic and the Mediterranean, providing ideal conditions for the development of the vine. These differences can be easily seen in each zone, in the landscape and in the vegetation, since within each zone there are several micro-climates.

In La Rioja Alta the atlantic climate, predominates, while its soils comprise clay-calcareous, clay-ferrous and alluvial components.

Rueda

D.O. RUEDA

Rueda is the oldest wine Designation of Origin in Castilla y León, with its production area located in the provinces of Valladolid, Segovia and Ávila.

The Rueda area is nestled in an area of continental and Mediterranean influence. Given its altitude of between 700-800 meters above sea level, it suffers seasonsal thermal extremes. These differences make the vines naturally resistant, and for the Verdejo clusters favour the balance between volume and acidity.

Valdeorras

D.O. VALDEORRAS

The climate in Valdeorras is a combination of Atlantic and continental influences, with warm summers and cold winters. This dual climate, together with the layout of the vineyards on slopes facing the Sil River, allows for slow and balanced ripening of the grapes.

The Godello vines are located in the towns of Larouco, Seoane and Vilardequinta, at different altitudes ranging from 540 to 750 metres, and planted on slate-rich granite soils.

Rias Baixas

D.O. RIAS BAIXAS

This subzone, the most emblematic of the Rías Baixas Baixas D.O., is the historical epicentre of the Abariño grape, a variety that expresses its full potential here thanks to the Atlantic climate, granitic soils and proximity to the sea. The vineyards are located in Cambados, at an altitude of less than 100 metres.
